Recommendations

Datadog does not currently offer a plugin in the WordPress plugin directory.

A WordPress integration is currently listed as coming soon. I suggest exploring a direct plugin that gives Datadog full access to the relevant data within WordPress as well as partnerships with platform providers in the WordPress ecosystem.

Accordingly, my recommendations are:

1. Use the guides on GrowInWP.com to develop a roadmap for a plugin and refine your strategy. Start with Deciding To Build a WordPress Plugin.
2. Duplicate and complete the “Impact Filter” worksheet to help your leadership team get buy-in for building a plugin.
3. Find a developer who knows WordPress well who can build the initial plugin and be available to provide long-term support. (If you’d like recommendations for a developer let me know)
4. Create a plugin with an OpenRank score of 60 or higher that serves as the official integration between Datadog and WordPress. Use plugin to better serve existing customers and as a baseline for developing integration partnerships with platform providers in WordPress.
